Kazan social-law institute (KSLI) was opened in 1993 in accordance with the resolution of the cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan Republic N 561 from 23.09.93. It was founded on the base of the Institute of the Secondary Professional Education of Russian Academy of Education. It is a part of the United Scientific and Educational Complex. In 2004 the Institute was awarded a new status – Academy of Social Education. It has become the main experimental ground of Russian Academy of Education. The President of Academy of Social Education is the academician of Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Pedagogical Science, professor, Honoured Worker of Science of Russian Federation Mukhametzyanova G.V. Rector of ASE is Doctor of  Medicine, professor, Mukhametzyanov I.Sh.

The Committee of experts of International Educational Society (IES) has provided academy of Social Education with the right to give the State certificate of the Educational Institution.
